3 MUSTS if you rock short hair. We’re gonna start this by being very PC. Everyone is beautiful in their own way. Every single one of us has qualities that are special and unique. These qualities can be physical or non-physical. Do not let people or man-made notions make you feel that what you have to offer the world is less valuable than what someone else has to offer.
Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s get into this.
I’m going to briefly talk you through 3 musts for rocking short hair. You may fall into a couple different short hair categories. If you’re in any of these categories by choice, hey, do you boo! If, however, you are in either of these categories by default, then this post is for you.
Why not take things up a notch if you can? And, you can. Let me show you how.
The categories for short hair wearers are usually as follows:
THIS WAS NECESSARY
Short hair was the only option left after a bad hair experience or failed attempts at growing your hair long.
THIS WAS MY CHOICE, BUT NOW I’M STUCK
You got caught up and fell for the hype. You ran and got an amazing short cut, but now you don’t really know how to recapture that greatness when it comes to styling your hair.
I AIN’T GOT TIME
You cut your hair, you know how to style it, but your lifestyle just doesn’t allow for elaborate styling on a daily basis.
Any of these can be bumped up a bit. Learning the basic flat short hairstyle is all it takes. That is the simplest thing on EARTH to learn how to do. The video below will walk you through it. Trust me, this is the only style you need to have mastered before you implement the list below.
Now you’ve got your day-to-day short hairstyle down. Let’s get to the MUSTS.
3 MUSTS If You Rock Short Hair
FIRST must if you rock short hair.
Teeth. You have got to get those chompers together. I’m big on teeth whether you have short hair or not. However, when you do have short hair, your teeth are on display more than they would be with a different hairstyle.
Make sure they’re as white as they can be. Brush ‘em, floss ‘em, get ‘em straightened if you need to. Whatever the case may be, make the best of what you have. If you can’t get ‘em straightened, then whiten them. There are several at home whitening systems available nowadays. And of course you can brush and floss.
SECOND must if you rock short hair.
Earrings. With this one, it’s a matter of personal preference. The aesthetic you go for will play into this big time. If you have a style that’s jazzy and trendy, something like decorative hoops and chandelier earrings will play well for you.
If you’re more Jackie Kennedy than Laura Govan, you may choose a nice stud or small pearl or something less bold.
Either way you go, a sleek pixie will expose the nakedness of your ears. Getting the perfect pair of go-to earrings will not only show off the haircut, but it will pull an otherwise dull look together and give the aura of ‘I really put effort into this’. That’s always a good way to go.
THIRD must if you rock short hair.
Edges. I’ve talked about edges before. They are majorly important when your hair is short. There’s a variety of ways you can style your edges WHILE wearing a sleek, basic style. Edges are actually a way to spice up your basic sleek pixie and get more than one look from the same mold.
The video below shows 3 different types of edges and how to create each one. Take your pick and represent out in these short hair streets.
These are things that will take your short hair experience from basic and average to wow!
