The color of this puffer jacket is the show stopper. It’s such a rich color. That deep burgundy is the icing on the cake of this practical puffer jacket.
Although the color is amazing, I really bought this jacket because it was one of the styles I saw and felt I could style and make my own. Puffer jackets are somewhat of a thing at the moment. Even though I’d seen them everywhere, I wondered exactly how to style them so they would fit my personal wardrobe. I decided to sit tight on making a purchase until I knew for sure I would actually style and wear and not just have it hang in my closet all winter.
Macy’s had some really good deals during their black Friday haul. I walked in and immediately saw this deep, rich color peeking out at me from a rack off to the side of the register. I made a bee line to the rack and tried it on right there in the middle of the store. I was very happy when I put it on and it fit me just right. I checked the hardware and again was excited to discover that it was silver and not gold.
It was perfect!
A day or two before Black Friday, I had figured out a few puffer jacket style options that would work for me. Keeping the cut above my thighs was a major factor. Finding a color that was easily transferred from casual to dressy was another big one. The last thing I had to figure out was how to wear it with more than just jeans and sneakers. I took to Pinterest and landed on enough images to convince me that I could definitely wear it with jeans, leggings or trousers. Versatility…check!
If you’re on the fence about this trend, I say go for it. You can easily pull this off and it will become a go-to outerwear piece because it isn’t bulky or extremely heavy, but it still serves it purpose of keeping you warm and bundled up.
