Black Friday, Cyber Monday and whatever else you want to call it, it basically breaks down to SHOPPING! Woo hoo! Who doesn’t love to shop? And even better, who doesn’t love a justifiable reason to spend money? Let’s talk about holiday shopping for short hair.
Out here in these DIY short hair streets, we like to save money when possible. Shopping during the holidays is the best time to take advantage of the opportunity to save money on the products and tools you need to maintain and stunt on em by creating amazing short hair styles at the house.
While you’re out shopping, take time to set aside some money to buy some things for your hair care needs. Higher end products and tools that cost more than you may be willing to casually spend on any ole Saturday that you stroll into Ulta, are going to be on sale during the holiday shopping season. Don’t be no fool! Take advantage!
Keep in mind that you can also use coupons and rewards points while shopping during the holiday season. This only makes it better. Now is the time to stock up and let your inner product junkie have a lil fun. Let’s get into exactly what I’d recommend you get while the getting is good.
HOLIDAY SHOPPING FOR SHORT HAIR
Short Hair Tools
More than products, I’d recommend you get your hands on some short hair styling tools. Things like flat irons, dryers, shears and clippers tend to run you more than shampoos, wrapping foams and hair sprays. Because tools can be big ticket items, finding deals and combining those with coupons or rewards points, means you get to score big.
Instead of having to settle for the ceramic flat iron, you can go ahead and get that $200.00 tourmaline flat iron. And the catcher is that you will definitely be able to snag it for much less than the year-round $200.00 price tag.
Next up are dryers. Hooded dryers can run between $30.00 and $70.00, depending on specs and where you buy. But now, during the Ho Ho Ho season, you can take advantage of sales and discounts and get you a really good one for the low.
Ionic blow dryers have proven to be more than just a fad and they have the price tag to prove it. Don’t believe me? Just walk into a beauty supply store and look at a standard drug store brand blow dryer. Around, what, $19.99, right? Um hmm. Now mosey on over a few aisles and look at an ionic blow dryer. That price slap you in the face, didn’t it? Yep. Those things can easily run you $100.00.
Here’s the thing to remember, everything you do to your hair is cumulative. That means that if you are repeatedly using a cheap dryer to blow our your hair, your hair will eventually show the effects of that. On the other end of the spectrum, however, if you are continuously using a higher end dryer to deliver even heat that doesn’t dry your hair out, your hair will remain healthy and shiny over time.
Although that’s the case, I’m by no means suggesting you go out and blow your budget. That’s why it’s a smart move to get those high end tools at a time like this. Holiday shopping deals are your friend. Now run along, and make nice with them so you can represent out here in these short hair streets.
Another thing to be mindful of, is free shipping and other online deals that will make it less expensive for you to get a hold of these tools for use at home when styling your short hair. My parting thoughts are for you to be aware, understand that there are deals to be taken advantage of, and use this opportunity to step up your short hair tools game.
Below are some of the deals I’ve seen since the holiday shopping shenanigans began a few days ago. Browse through them and happy shopping!
FHI ½ Inch Flat Iron. This is a great tool to have. It gets high ratings across the board and it is up for grabs for as little as $60.00 when you apply the additional savings code listed in the ad.
Hooded Dryer. I told you guys in my post Must Have Tools For Short Hair Care At Home, that you need a hooded dryer in your life if you plan to conquer your short hair styling woes. It is an absolute necessity. I could not create 90% of the styles I wear, without the aid of my hand hooded dryer. This amazon seller has them for as low as $36.00! Add free shipping to that and it’s a WIN-WIN.
Ionic Blow Dryer
Blow dryers are definitely something I use. Creating the dry mold, which I demonstrated in How To Dry Mold Short Hair, is one of the many styles I use a blow dryer to create. Using an ionic blow dryer is much better for your hair as it supplies an even distribution of heat to the strands of your hair, along with the ionic technology that creates sleeker hair with more shine. Personally, I need a better blow dryer. I love my Yellowbird, but it is not nearly as good for my hair as an ionic blow dryer would be. Check out this deal on the ionic blow dryer below.
